Well hello there! Welcome…

If you’ve visited my home page, then you already know a little about me. I’m Katie, and this is Paw & Order. I’m located in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I provide pet care, cleaning, and organizing services throughout the area. If I’m being completely honest, I had no clue what I was doing when I decided to start my own business—but I know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

Building Paw & Order has been an exercise in patience, humility, and learning as I go. I’ve spent countless hours researching, creating a website, figuring out marketing, and stepping far outside of my comfort zone. Some days feel exciting. Some days feel overwhelming. Most days are a little bit of both. I’ve learned that fear and discomfort are roommates, and both build slow confidence once you're willing to kick the door down.

Every hour spent learning something new, solving a problem, or taking one more step forward gives me a sense of accomplishment unlike anything I’ve experienced before. For the first time in a long time, I’m building something that feels completely my own.

One of the unexpected parts of this journey has been rediscovering my love of creating and writing. I never imagined I’d be sharing my thoughts on a website, but creating Paw & Order has encouraged me to put myself out there in ways I never expected. Writing this blog feels like a natural extension of that process.

Here you’ll find stories from the journey, lessons I’ve learned, organizing projects, pet adventures, helpful tips, and the occasional unexpected life detour. I'm not here to be a blogger and post "content" with 5 tips and tricks on how to clean a shower and perfectly posed pictures of me doing so. Nope. This space of Paw & Order is for us to connect- and honestly, it's something that I need to do for my own personal growth. There will be plenty of ridiculously cute pet photos too—because let’s be honest, that’s half the fun. Side note- I will be sure to take (too many) photos of your pet(s), so be prepared. I am far from a photographer, but I love capturing a moment that makes my heart happy; whether its watching a sweet kitty snooze, a dog running after a ball or making a pitiful face as though they haven't eaten in weeks, or a perfectly stacked pile of fresh towels in the linen closet. I want my clients to always have happy hearts as well.

More than anything, I hope this space feels welcoming. I hope that you can gain something from following along; even if it's just a smile. Whether you’re here because you’re a client, an animal lover, someone looking for organizing inspiration, or simply curious about what I’m building, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share my writing along with starting something that I am really passionate

about.
